The famous and renowned company Ford said they are trying to set a deal with the Chinese company so that they can make electric cars for the world’s biggest market.
Ford said it was reconnoitering a mutual project with the electric car maker Anhui Zotye Automobile Co. and this firm is a chief maker of small, zero-emissions electric cars.
The plan of the electric cars comes in China when the government of the country wants to eliminate the pollution caused by the vehicles. So, the making and sales of the electric cars boost because they can fight against pollution.
China is the country which has more electric cars in their traffic than any other country in the world. It is said by the Ford that the sales of the electric cars in China will reach four million by the year 2025.
And their officials are also working to set the new rules that would entail 8% of car sales to be electric next year. And it will increase to 12% by the year 2020.
Vice president Peter Fleet and president for Ford Asia Pacific said: “Electric vehicles will be a big part of the future in China and Ford wants to lead in delivering great solutions to customers.”
By the end of this year, Ford hoped that it will reach the final agreement with Zotye said by Ford’s spokesman. The company said more information will be shared about the joint venture as the deal moves onward.
The company Zotye is based in Huangshan in the province of Anhui. This company is famous for the small cars and according to Ford, it sold more than 16, 000 all-electric cars this year and up 56% year-on-year.
Chairman and president of Anhui Zotye said: “This presents us with exciting opportunity to leverage each other’s strengths in achieving a win-win situation for both parties growth in the fast-evolving Chinese electric vehicle market.”
The company also said that 70% of all the Ford vehicles which are sold in China would have electrified options by 2025.
Now, Ford is trying to set a deal with Chinese electric car company to produce vehicles for them. So, that they can also fight with the air pollution caused by the vehicles.
